Two of our close friends, Geoff and Becca Scott, are opening a new brewery, Track 7, this New Year’s Eve. I previously worked with Geoff and Becca to create the “Pretty Tasty” illustration for their Ceccarelli Pears, sold at Sacramento-area farmer’s markets: Geoff and Becca asked me, along with two of my other artist friends, Skinner and Phil Altstatt, to create art for their beer labels. After seeing the Sacramento Ballet Company’s production of The Nutcracker this year with my wife, Audrey, I was inspired to PhotoShop ourselves and our dog into the cute artwork of the program’s cover. Unfortunately I couldn’t find the name of the artist anywhere in the program, so I can’t credit him or her here. If anyone knows feel free to tell me and I’ll add that information. Credit where credit is due! (Apropos of Nothing 27) I also created a new portrait of my brother Wesley, his wife Denae and their beautiful son, Calvin (named after Calvin and Hobbes, natch!).
