HardPressed Comics: "Tiny Fists of Fury" Extras

R. Crumb once said he sometimes felt he was more influenced by music than by comics. Not to compare myself to Crumb, but this was true of me when I was creating the comics in Tiny Fists of Fury, not only in terms of content but also in terms of style. Some of my favorite songs would be far less interesting if you separated the lyrics from the music, but together they communicate powerfully specific ideas or feelings. This too, I hope, is true of Tiny Fists of Fury, where I often had to make due with very limited space.

Unlike the Ecstasy in the Cacophony mix CD, the tracks of which I compiled long after the comic was finished, the tracks for the Tiny Fists of Fury mix CD were compiled while I was working on the comic, and create a musical snapshot of what I was listening to and who I was at the time.
